Everything you need to know about staking with us

Staking or delegating means committing your coins to the Qubetics blockchain for a period of time that you decide. Doing this helps to secure the blockchain, increases trust in Qubetics, and in return you earn staking rewards on the amount of coins that you stake.
Currently the best way to do this is either using the Keplr wallet or Cosmostation wallet mobile apps. Either one of these will make staking your coins incredibly easy directly from the wallet interface. Just choose STAKE, and select JBs LFG STRONGHOLD as your desired validator node. It is also possible to stake from desktop by using the Chrome extension for Keplr, Cosmostation, or Qubetics wallet, and connecting to the Delegators dashboard on the Qubetics website, but for ease of use I recommend the mobile apps for staking.
The base APY for a validator node is 30%. As a delegator you will get 30% interest on your coins, minus the validator's commission. Our commission is set at the lowest that it can be set, 5%. This does not mean you will get 30% - 5%, e.g. 25%. What it actually means is you will get 30% as rewards, and 5% of those rewards will be taken as commission. This effectively gives you returns of approximately 28.5% per year. This percentage can be increased by compounding your staked amount, by adding your earned rewards to it, thus increasing your effective percentage for the year by a few %.
Rewards are subject to a cliff period until November 30th 2026, after which they are also subject to a 6 month vesting period. This is why trying to claim right now does not work. But there is a way to bypass the cliff and vesting periods entirely, and get your rewards now. If you simply stake at least 1 more coin to the same node, your outstanding rewards will be immediately transferred into your wallet. This is a feature of Cosmos SDK, and allows us to receive our rewards, and be able to restake them now to earn compound interest.
Yes, your coins are safe. They are not sent to the validator, they are simply delegated to the Qubetics blockchain via our node. They are still in your custody, and you can unstake or restake at any time.
Yes, but there is a 14 day unbonding period, during which your coins are locked, and stop earning rewards. After the 14 days your coins will be available for you to do with as you wish.
The main risk is validator downtime or misbehaviour, which can result in a small % of tokens being lost due to slashing. This is why it is extremely important to choose your validator node wisely. Follow these steps to start staking your $TICS like an OG:

  1. Download Keplr Wallet from the Play Store or App Store.
  2. Create a new wallet.
  3. IMPORTANT: Securely store your seed phrase and password offline. Never share them with anyone.
  4. Add Qubetics Mainnet: search for Qubetics and click to enable it.
  5. On the main screen, tap Deposit, search for Qubetics, then copy your Qubetics Mainnet wallet address (it starts with 0x, not with "qubetics").
  6. From the wallet you want to transfer coins from, send $TICS to the copied address.
  7. Once the transaction completes and you see $TICS in your Keplr wallet, tap Qubetics Mainnet on the main screen.

  9. Enter the 12-word seed phrase (or key) from the wallet you want to import, give it a name, then tap Next.
  10. Once imported, you should see your $TICS in the wallet.

  7. Click on the address to copy it to the clipboard.
  8. In the wallet or exchange that holds your TICS you then need to send them to the address you just copied.
  9. Once the transaction completes and you see $TICS in your Cosmostation wallet, tap Qubetics Mainnet on the main screen.
  10. Tap Earn.
  11. Tap TICS - Manage stake, then tap Stake.

  2. Complete email verification by clicking the link MEXC sends you.
  3. (Optional but recommended) Complete KYC verification: Profile icon ? Verification ? Upload ID and selfie for higher limits.
  4. Deposit funds into MEXC:
    • Option A: Click "Buy Crypto" ? "Credit/Debit Card" ? Buy USDT with your card
